The farm to fork journey
Mangoes thrive in regions with rugged terrain or dense foliage, making it challenging for modern equipment to navigate and harvest efficiently, requiring more manual labor-intensive methods.

Color
The color of the fruit is not the best indicator of its ripeness.
Aroma
Smell the stem end, a ripe mango has a beautiful, intense fragrance.
Feel
When you touch a ripe mango you should feel the softness of the flesh inside.
How to store a mango
Keep unripe mangoes at room temperature. Mangoes should not be refrigerated before they are ripe.
Mangoes will continue to ripen at room temperature, becoming sweeter and softer over several days.
To speed up ripening, place mangoes in a paper bag at room temperature.
Once ripe, mangoes should be moved to the refrigerator, which will slow down the ripening process. Whole, ripe mangoes may be stored for up to three days in the refrigerator.
